Abstract
- The article discusses the challenges associated with the primary care clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) in England. It states the need for policy workarounds to solve fragmentation introduced into the system by the Health and Social Care Act 2012. It cites the difficult organizational and structural issues around commissioning primary care. It suggests that CCGs need to ensure that they bring membership with them to maintain clinical voice and local understanding.
