Abstract
- The article discusses radical instances of style of dogs through the books "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy that depicts the character of the dog Laska, "Vidas secas" by Graciliano Ramos that depicts the character of the dog Baleia, and the sonnet "Suave mari magno" by Machado de Assis. Topics discussed include the book "Fogo morto" by José Lins do Rego which depicts the provincial framework of political crises that are characteristic of the Old Republic, and the style of dog being one of understanding.
