Abstract

This study assesses the performance of a Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) system using exergoenvironmental analysis method. The system has a peak capacity of 7.4 kW and has been successfully operated since its installation at Yasar University on 8 February 2016. In the analysis, we used the actual operational long-term data. Based on one uncloudy day selected from each month of the year, the exergy efficiency values based on the total and cell areas were in the range of 11.44-13.60, and 15.66-18.62, respectively while daily CO2 emission values for the selected days varied between 0.80 (June) and 1.34 kg CO<subscript>2</subscript> (February).
