Abstract

Lymphokines have a number of effects in vitro, which may be related to their role as mediators of delayed hypersensitivity. These mediators are also released in vivo. Authors of the article have described the effect of Lymphokines on in vivo and in vitro antibody production. The present article shows the effect of supernatants which contain lymphokines on the development of delayed hypersensitivity to unrelated antigen. Animals were injected into the ear vein with 1ml of 25 percent suspension of three tines washed sheep red blood cells with or without various supernatants.
