Abstract

The main purpose of the presented paper is to research civil and political participation of migrants in the Slovak Republic in the location where they live. For the realization of this purpose, following tasks have been set: to define key concepts and basic legal standards regulating the investigated area, to analyze the statistical data on civil and political participation of migrants in the Slovak Republic through the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic. Another task that the author sets to reach the goal is to identify the most common problems related to civil and political participation of migrants in the Slovak Republic. Research methods used in the paper: theoretical general methods of scientific knowledge - analysis and synthesis of available bibliographic references, their comparison. The major finding of the presented paper is to recommend proposal of qualitative - quantitative indicators of civil and political integration of migrants into the conception of integration of migrants in the Slovak Republic. In addition to quantitative - quantitative indicators, the author examines subjects which should in the state social policy be responsible for managing the quality of life of migrants in the area of examined participation. For the State, which wants to implement the integration policies towards migrants successfully, it is essential to identify the indicators of civil integration and political integration of migrants.
