Abstract
- Abstract: K<subscript>3</subscript>B<subscript>6</subscript>O<subscript>9</subscript>F<subscript>3</subscript>, a first fluorooxoborate containing four different units, that is, [BO<subscript>3</subscript>]<superscript>3−</superscript>, [BO<subscript>4</subscript>]<superscript>5−</superscript>, [BO<subscript>3</subscript>F]<superscript>4−</superscript>, and [BO<subscript>2</subscript>F<subscript>2</subscript>]<superscript>3−</superscript>, has been designed and synthesized by two different routes. The unique anionic 2 ∞ [B<subscript>6</subscript>O<subscript>9</subscript>F<subscript>3</subscript>]<superscript>3−</superscript> layers avoid forming terminal oxygen atoms, which are beneficial to enlarge the band gap. The structure‐properties relationship of the title compound is discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
