FORMULATION, DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF MOUTH DISSOLVING FILM OF FEXOFENADINE FOR THE TREATMENT OF ALLERGIC RHINITIS.

Allergic rhinitis is more prone to children. Fexofenadine gives a synergistic action in treatment of acute rhinitis. The aim of the study was to prepare mouth dissolving film containing combination of taste masking of fexofenadine by solvent casting method. To prevent bitter taste of fexofenadine, the drug was taste masked with ion exchange resin of Kyron - T -154. The formulate films were evaluated for organoleptic characteristics, Surface pH, tensile strength, folding endurance, % elongation, drug content, disintegration time, thickness and in vitro drug release study by using simultaneous equation estimation method.
