Abstract

The article presents an interview with writer Penwright Profound. His single novel was published in 1947, entitled "That Was the World War Two That Was," and is based on his experiences in Europe cleaning and adjusting spark plugs for trucks of the stoned Red Ball Express while on special assignment as a non-commissioned officer. Since the shattering impact of that first work upon the reading public, Profound has produced a stream of memoirs, travel and popular sociology. But unsated, his public awaits completion of his work-in-progress Profound's first major work-in-progress Profound's first major work of fiction in nearly two decades.
