Abstract
- The article examines reported sightings of the Tasmanian tiger, a thylacine thought to be extinct since 1930. Alleged sightings of Tasmanian tigers are juxtaposed with instances of alleged misidentification by observers, the history of human ecology on Tasmania is described, and information is offered on wildlife expert Nick Moody's attempts to verify purported sightings.
