Abstract

This article focuses on the assumed possibilities of the enactment of the regulatory bill named, the "Dangerous Drug Penalty Amendments of 1968" in the U.S. It was assumed that after enactment, it will impose new and heavy penalties for not only the distribution and sale but the possession for personal use of "hallucinogenic drugs and other depressant and stimulant drugs." This bill reportedly had covered a varied list of different pharmacological agents that can be affected. As there was a need for federal intervention in the business of drug abuse and control, the doubt related to this bill has created a dilemma.
