Abstract

This article focuses on the social conditions in Wyoming. very few Wyoming cities have any kind of civil service-a reform associated more with the turn of the century than with the space age. However far Wyoming may have lagged behind the country, some of its citizens were sprinting frantically to catch up. And by the time November, 1969 had dawned the concept was being considered, at least in some places, that events in Wyoming were a manifestation of a significant change in the structure of thought and feeling across the U.S. in relation to the war in Vietnam and other matters as well.
