Abstract

A survey on "diversity of insect pollinators on Litchi chinensis flower" was carried out in the Horticulture Experimental Farm, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat during 2015 and 2016. The survey revealed that insect pollinators belonging to seven families viz., Apidae, Vespidae, Papilionidae, Muscidae, Formicidae, Pyralidae and Syrphidae were commonly available out of which, Apis cerena was found to be dominant with 49.50 per cent while the lowest per cent abundance was found to be Pieris rapae with 2.66 per cent.
