Accounting Research – The Road Not Taken.

The article presents the patterns of authorship in Australian Accounting Review over the past two years. Topics discussed including aim and process of the accounting in Australia; contribution of accounting research to activities such as standard setting have concluded its impact to be modest and greater degree of awareness of the scholarly accounting literature than the main vanguard of the practice community.
