Abstract
- This article presents message of Norodom Sihanouk, Prince of Cambodia to the citizen of the U.S. According to Sihanouk Cambodians profoundly admire American tradition of democracy and liberty, but he properly deplores the fact that the U.S. government, under the pretext of defending in Asia democracy and liberty allegedly menaced by communism, meddles so openly, constantly, by arms and even war in the internal affairs of Asiatic peoples and countries. But the American public itself is the first to know that these countries are governed by military juntas which have hoisted themselves into power by coups d'etat and by establishing in their lands paper parliaments and oppressive dictatorships. Yet when these peoples revolt, the propaganda apparatus of the United States treats them as Communists.
