Abstract

The article presents the study on the role of urinary B-cell-activating factor of the tumour necrosis factor family (uBAFF) in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The study reportedly involved quantification of uBAFF by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in SLE, Sjogren syndrome, and immunoglobulin A nephropathy patients. The results revealed that uBAFF can be detected in a significant portion of SLE patients.
