Abstract

Much nervous attention is being given to what women are writing these days— not as literary achievements but as samples of their psycho-political nature and sneak previews of their power. These monthly publications provide insights that the more incisive self-analyses do not, for they purportedly recycle the thinking of women who rely upon them for opinions which they do not realize they have, as consumers, already expressed. Judging by the millions of subscribers attributed to such publications, this is a base operation of mass training for the feminine role that so frustrates those women who have been intellectually liberated but remain socially repressed.
