Child Maltreatment: Global, East and West.

An introduction to the journal is presented that focuses on issues related to child maltreatment around the world, including the association of exposure to different types of child maltreatment and the development of substance use disorders later in life, association between child maltreatment and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and media coverage of child abuse cases in China.
