Abstract
- The role of oxygenation on the attachment of Escherichia coli rpoS mutant cells on electrode under aerobic conditions was investigated. The influence of oxygenation to the cell attachment of E. coli rpoS mutant was determined by variating shaker agitation rate of shaken culture at 80, 120, 150, 170, and 190 rpm. The inducing oxygenation through increasing shaker agitation rate escalated E. coli rpoS mutant cell attachment. The highest cell attachment on electrode was at 170 rpm. Further increasing shaker agitation rate of 190 rpm lowered the cell attachment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
