Abstract

Fluorescent nanoarchitectures, such as hydrophobic micelles and hydrophilic vesicles decorated with fluorescent carbon nanoparticles, were fabricated from one fatty acid by means of photo-triggering. The biomimetic nanostructures, like cell membrane structures, have applications in fluorescence imaging in both the cell cytoplasm and nucleus. Besides, hydrophobic micelles can be used as very stable fluorescent inks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
