Photo-triggered conversion of hydrophilic fluorescent biomimetic nanostructures for cell imaging.

Fluorescent nanoarchitectures, such as hydrophobic micelles and hydrophilic vesicles decorated with fluorescent carbon nanoparticles, were fabricated from one fatty acid by means of photo-triggering. The biomimetic nanostructures, like cell membrane structures, have applications in fluorescence imaging in both the cell cytoplasm and nucleus.
