„This paper deals with English 14th century spiritual author Richard Rolle and his mysticism of love. Mysticism of Richard Rolle is often questioned by scholars for strong aff ectivity, imagination and bodily metaphors. My purpose is to describe Rolle's notion of love and point to love as the right way to reach God. Through the growing love is a human soul becoming more and more like its godly image. Then is the soul take up to heaven to see the truths of heaven. The text describes Rolle's metaphors of contemplation and God's nature.
