Abstract

Two C<subscript>3</subscript>-symmetric ligands, 4,4′,4″-[1,3,5-benzenetriyltris(carbonylimino)]trisbenzoic acid (H<subscript>3</subscript>BTA) and benzene-1,3,5-trisbenzoic acid (H<subscript>3</subscript>BTB), were used to coordinate Er(III) and In(III). Reactions of the two C<subscript>3</subscript>-symmetric ligands with Er(NO<subscript>3</subscript>)<subscript>3</subscript>·6H<subscript>2</subscript>O and In(NO<subscript>3</subscript>)<subscript>2</subscript>·3H<subscript>2</subscript>O under solvothermal conditions resulted in formation of two new three-dimensional porous coordination polymers, [Er(BTA)(DMF)](DMF)<subscript>2</subscript>(H<subscript>2</subscript>O) (1) and [In(H<subscript>2</subscript>O)(BTB)](DMF)<subscript>2</subscript> (2). In addition, in vitro anticancer activities of 1 and 2 on three human glioma cells (SHG-44, SWO-38, and TJ905) were determined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
