A Prophetic Book.

The article discusses books and authors. "Possible Worlds and Other Papers" is the name of a point of view concerning science and many other things that has gone with the name of writer J. B. S. Haldane ever since he wrote a book of winged words called "Daedalus." "Possible Worlds" is also the title of an essay in this book that tells philosophers how to think in step with current science. The other papers are maps of island universes of thought, most of which Haldane has helped to discover, or for which he is asking a place in the sun of everyman's attention. This is an exciting and prophetic book.
