Abstract

The article reports that France will draft a law that would prohibit companies from destroying unsold clothing. Topics discussed include junior ecology minister Brune Poirson's explanation on what motivated her to take action against the destruction of unsold products, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe's plan for the transition of France to a circular economy and promote recyclable and reusable products and the 2016 Garot law aimed at reducing food waste.
