Abstract

The article presents information on the Anglo-Afghan Treaty which was published in Indian newspaper "The Amrit Bazar Patrika." The newspaper in commenting on the settlement, expresses its satisfaction that the treaty was negotiated with the Afghan Government and not, as hitherto, with the ruling family, that Afghanistan's independence was fully recognized and that the British subsidy to the Ameer was discontinued. The two high contracting parties mutually accept the Indo-Afghan frontier as accepted by the Afghan Government under Article 3 of the treaty concluded at Rawalpiridi, August 13, 1919.
