Abstract

The article focuses on Scottish sociologist, professor and urban planner Patrick Geddes. Recent researches have shown that not only is there no complete list of his unpublished manuscripts, but that the present location of many of these manuscripts has still to be traced. And no attempt has yet been made to present a record of his practical activities, either in themselves or as concrete expressions of his manifold thought. The presented brief notes on Geddes as a man of action are to be regarded merely as an indication of the wide field which he covered in that capacity, and as suggestions for further and detailed investigation.
