Abstract
- The article focuses on a report, which is a part of the testimony of General Rex Dyer, the officer in command of the British troops at Amritsar during the May disturbances, at the hearing of November 19, 1920 of the Disorders Inquiry Committee at Lahore, Pakistan. After testifying that on May 10 and May 11, a force consisting of 100 British and 200 Indian soldiers went from Jullundar to Amritsar, General Dyer stated that on May 11, in response to a telegram, he himself went to Amritsar by motor car.
