Abstract

The article presents information on Canadian books of 1914. Of the more important books of the year those devoted to biography and history are of special interest. In biography there are two volumes of the political reminiscences of the veteran Canadian statesman, Sir Charles Tupper, "Recollections of Sixty Years in Canada," and "Political Reminiscences of Sir Charles Tupper." Canadian history has had several notable contributions during 1914. Writer George M. Wrong's book "Fall of Canada," is a brilliant study of 1914, the epoch-making year; of French rule in Canada. Writer George Bryce's book "Short History of the Canadian People," provides a good working history of the Dominion in one volume.
