Choosing functional and structural characteristics of the equipment on the technological flow of any milling unit is influenced primarily by the physical properties of intermediate products of grist. The paper presents results of experimental research on the physical properties of grist (coefficient of static friction - on three types of surfaces, the angle of natural slope, density, surface area, porosity) in the plane sifter compartment of the second grinding mill for a unit of 4.2 t/h in Romania.
