Abstract
- By the death of Léon Massol, the bacteriological laboratory at Geneva has lost its founder and director, the university a professor, and science a useful servant. Massol began his career as a railway employee, but afterwards studied with a Geneva surgeon, at whose instance he made a specialty of bacteriology. The restoration of the Cathedral of St. Pierre at Geneva is now almost completed. As a memorial of the old building, M. Camille Martin, who Is both an historian and an architect, has prepared a volume descriptive of the ancient church.
