Abstract
- The article focuses on translation of the book "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" by Junot Díaz from Spanglish to Spanish. Topics discussed include Díaz explains the importance of the mixture of languages and registers and references; academic jargon coexisting with African American slang and challenges faced by author Achy Obejas in translating the book.
