Abstract

The core features of a group of related instructional strategies, called modularized instruction, are examined. Key among the features is the extent to which modularized instruction makes explicit the dimension of the teaching/learning process. A model (outline) is constructed, using the components identified by examination of modules, to assess the degree of innovation of instructional strategies. Several module packages are examined for the degree to which they are modules. The article concludes wish a discussion of the implications of modular instructions key feature, the removal of ambiguity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
