Abstract: The article discusses the impeachment inquiry against U.S. President Donald Trump and its implications to the 2020 U.S. presidential elections. Topics discussed include Trump's alleged role in pressuring Ukraine President Volodymys Zelensky to reopen investigation on dismissed allegation involving former vice president Joe Biden. Also mentioned is the impeachment process' impact on government's mechanism of accountability and the balance of power in the conduct of America's national security.
