FUTEBOL Control Framework: Enabling Experimentation in Convergent Optical, Wireless, and Cloud Infrastructures.

Large-scale testing and evaluation of network solutions are complex and typically involve multiple domains (e.g., optical, wireless, and cloud). The FUTEBOL project has deployed geographically distributed testbeds in Brazil and Europe that enable the experimentation and validation of new cross-domain network solutions. In this article, we introduce a control framework that allows experimenters to slice, reserve, and orchestrate optical, wireless, and cloud resources in a coordinated manner. We illustrate the features of our control framework and evaluate it through an experiment involving resource orchestration and automatic service scaling across multiple domains. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
