The article is an attempt of the analysis of the ethnogenetic myths preserved in the Yezidi folklore. A special focus is made on the third, previously unknown version of the Yezidi origin. The latter was found in a text written down in the 40s of the last century in Armenia. It is particularly interesting that the legend reveals an obvious parallel with one the Shahnameh's story lines.
