An opportunity to study the Dutch language and literature has, thus far, never been offered by any of the metropolitan universities. According to official announcements for the forthcoming academic year, it is now possible to do so. Courses are also announced in the Scandinavian languages, including far-away Germanic dialects like Icelandic.
