Abstract

Health is one of the goals for the sustainable development at the global level, but emerging economies remain off-track. The Responsible research and innovation concept consider stakeholders’ inclusion a way to guarantee a positive impact. This study aims to know how the inclusion of multiple stakeholders in e-health occurs. We used in-depth interview and a survey with 26 companies in Brazil. We identified that Brazilian companies that develop products or services for the health sector behave in a similar way as companies in developed countries, especially regarding the inclusion of external stakeholders from the initial stages. Brazilian companies face the difficulties inherent in developing countries, related to heavy bureaucracy, and institutional inefficiency. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
