Abstract
- A novel silane-terminated polyether was prepared by in-situ condensation/addition with polypropylene glycol, chloromethyltriethoxysilane and potassium isocyanate as the raw materials and potassium iodide as the catalyst. The effect of the molar mass of the main chain polyether on the properties of a novel silane-terminated polyether was discussed. The structure of the product was analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The characterization of viscosity, surface dry time, rheological properties, thermal stability properties, transmittance and hardness was analyzed. Results show that the novel isocyanate silane-terminated polyether has excellent light transparency, low viscosity and fast-curing at room temperature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
