Abstract

The article presents brief discussion on various developments in the U.S. and other countries. It has now become a custom to arrange an estimate of the world's crop for the year in connection with International Grain Market which is annually held at Vienna, Austria. Special interest has been given to wheat, and the results on the whole have been so nearly correct that they are looked with much interest. This year the statisticians have been subject to exceptional difficulties. The season was so late that there was an opportunity for change of conditions after the estimate was published. In France and in England there was an improvement, in most other countries a fall in agricultural productivity.
