Abstract

Ba<subscript>0.7</subscript>Sr<subscript>0.3</subscript>TiO<subscript>3</subscript> ceramics has been synthesized by solid state reaction method. The effects of sintering time on microstructure and electric properties of Ba<subscript>0.7</subscript>Sr<subscript>0.3</subscript>TiO<subscript>3</subscript> ceramics have been investigated. XRD patterns show that all ceramic samples are single tetragonal phase. The grain size increases with sintering time. Ba<subscript>0.7</subscript>Sr<subscript>0.3</subscript>TiO<subscript>3</subscript> ceramics show obvious relaxor behavior because of its broadening dielectric peaks and frequency dispersion phenomenon. As sintering time increases, the Curie temperature does not change significantly and the diffuseness of the phase transition of Ba<subscript>0.7</subscript>Sr<subscript>0.3</subscript>TiO<subscript>3</subscript> ceramics slightly enhances. Moreover, the remnant polarization and coercive field have no obvious changes with the increasing of sintering time. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
