Abstract

This study examined the political attitudes of one social category— college professors. The intent was to ascertain the influence of particular variables (singly and in interaction) upon the political attitudes of this category. Since the focus was on the variables which affect political attitudes and not upon the distribution of such attitudes in the total population of college professors, a factorial sampling design was used (Rossi, 1959:45).
