The new RS6, based on the eighth-generation A6 Avant, is an important car for Audi Sport, in many ways defining the brand even more than the R8. It's the DRC-equipped car that I nab first, and settling down into a typically slick high-end Audi cabin, it feels spacious, relaxing, and very refined. The question now is whether the 22-inch wheels can cope with the UK's broken road surfaces, or whether the 21-inch option makes for a better RS6, and indeed, whether the DRC's advantage over "air" is retained.
