Abstract

As a proof-of-concept, an L -phenylalanine-based metal–organic framework Zn-MOF, namely [Zn<subscript>2</subscript>(L -Phe)<subscript>2</subscript>(bpe)<subscript>2</subscript>]<subscript>n</subscript>, was designed for experimentally revealing the chiral recognition mechanism of alanine and leucine by means of <superscript>13</superscript>C CP MAS NMR spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and control experiments.
