Abstract

As such, we proposed vaginal self-sampling in women who experienced miscarriage or other pregnancy problems, and we tested the samples for pathogens known to be responsible for miscarriages or other pregnancy problems in rural West Africa. We obtained no vaginal samples positive for I L. monocytogenes i among the healthy women, and among the samples from women who experienced miscarriage, 2/43 (4.6%) were positive for I L. monocytogenes i .
