The author argues that the organization the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and other professional computing organizations conduct and implement significant policy changes that enable the authors of accepted scholarly papers to the various organizational conferences to contribute to the conferences remotely in order to cut down on travel costs and carbon emissions.
