Abstract
- Historically, reports about sexual violence did not make news unless the story had additional news value of being related to a known personality (for example, former US Miramax film producer, Harvey Weinstein and Portuguese football player and international celebrity, Cristiano Ronaldo) or is so extreme in nature that it was categorised as having unusual news value. In "Suffering in Silence: The Resilience of Pakistan's Female Journalists to Combat Sexual Harassment, Threats and Discrimination", Sadia Jamal investigates Pakistani female journalists' lived experiences of sexual harassment, threats and discrimination.
