Abstract

The article presents a study which examined the diel patterns of soil respiration in a tropical moist forest in Puerto Rico to determine their effects on the production of carbon dioxide (CO<subscript>2</subscript>) affecting the atmosphere. Also cited are the effects of climate change and the role of tropical forests in the carbon cycle, and the data collected in the study like soil temperature/moisture, air temperature, photosynthetically active radiation, and relative humidity.
