ПОЛІТИКО-ПРАВОВА ПРОБЛЕМА ВИЗНАЧЕННЯ РОЛІ ТА МІСЦЯ ГУМАНІТАРНОЇ ІНТЕРВЕНЦІЇ В СИСТЕМІ МІЖНАРОДНИХ ВІДНОСИН

The article is devoted to understanding the role and place of humanitarian intervention in the system of international relations. In particular, in order to clarify the essential features of the application of humanitarian intervention, the content of the main category was determined through the analysis of its components. Potential opportunities for humanitarian intervention to help resolve domestic conflicts are outlined. The transformation of the concept in historical retrospect is investigated. In addition, the normative acts that serve as the legal basis for the application of humanitarian intervention are analyzed, in particular: the Charter of the United Nations, resolutions of the Institute of International Law, Geneva Conventions, judgments of the International Court of Justice, etc. The results of the study demonstrate the potential negative consequences of the ineffective use of humanitarian interventions by the main agents of the international system - states and intergovernmental organizations, in the context of the pursued goals and motivations.
