Abstract

The author criticizes molecular HIV surveillance which goes beyond the boundaries of bioethics and calls for the termination of it. It cites the call for the field to be informed by detailed empirical qualitative inquiry with people in order to address the limits of bioethics. It highlights the urgency for HIV data justice in the midst of overlapping global pandemics of COVID-19, HIV and criminalization.
