Abstract

Focuses on significance of guerilla war expert soldiers in Israel. Rise in morale of certain factions of the Defense Army of Israel as a result of the political instability; Attainment of Jewish statehood by guerrilla war against the British and by civil war within Jewish itself; Refusal of Israeli leader Menahem Beigin that prevented Irgunists from disposing of prime minister David Ben-Gurion's entire army; Insistence of the Irgun and the Sternists that only violent intervention by terrorists restrained officials from yielding at many decisive stages of the road to statehood; Commencement of the Freedom Movement led by Beigin; Division of the Freedom Movement into a right wing and a left wing; Members who come into Irgun directly, consists the left wing; Establishment of a socialist order as a domestic aim by Sternists; Collaboration of Sternists with the Soviet Union in foreign affairs; Presence of factions in the Freedom Movement-Irgun camp and in the laborite camp, which advocate moderation and reconciliation.
