Abstract
- The article discusses how the University of Houston has increased the number of underrepresented faculty members over a five-year period from 2014-2019. Topics covered include the grants received by the university for its faculty-diversity efforts, the steps that universities and colleges in the U.S. can take to advance faculty diversity without big money, and the additional challenge posed by the Covid-19 pandemic in recruiting and retaining underrepresented scholars.
